Maulidur Rasul

Assalamualaikum w.b…. Yesterday 12 Rabiul Awal, was remembered by Muslims throughout the world as the day when the prohet Nabi Muhammad s.a.w was born. Many Muslims celebrated this day, though some do not (as they say it is bid’ah). It is a time to reflect on the prophet’s exemplary life, remembering the prophet’s good deeds, his teachings and his wisdom. It is a public holiday here in Malaysia, and there are events held from the national level to community gatherings. Walks/parade are held rhyming the selawat (praises upon the prophet Nabi Muhammad s.a.w) from certain venue and normally ending at a mosque.
I have read the sirah of the prophet, but I have listened to this nasyeed from Raihan which tells us of what a great day it was on the day when prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) was born. It is good story about the prophet’s birth to tell your children.

Semasa di dalam perjalanan (On her way home)
Pulang dari makam suaminya (from the graves of her husband)
Aminah jatuh sakit di ‘Abwa (Aminah fell sick in ‘Abwa)
Kembali ke alam baka (Returned to God)

Tinggallah Nabi seorang diri (Leaving the Prophet, all alone)
Hilang insan yang dikasihi (Losing the most beloved person)
Tinggallah Nabi seorang diri (Leaving him all alone)
Mengajarnya hidup berdikari (Teaching him to stand on his own)

Anak yatim anak yang mulia (An orphaned child, a blessed child)
Dilindungi Allah setiap masa (Protected by Allah, all the time)

Terpadam api biara majusi (The fire of the temple of Majusi, burned out)
Runtuhlah istana Kisra Parsi (The fall of the Percian palace of Kisra)
Mekkah diterangi cahya putih (Mecca was filled with bright lights)
Tanda lahir Nabi anak yatim (Depicting the birth of the orphaned child)

Shalallahu ‘alaa Muhammad
Shalallahu ‘alaaihi wassalam

Hidupnya yatim, yatim piatu (His life, an orphan)
Tiada ayah tiada ibu (No father, no mother)
Hidupnya yatim, yatim piatu (His life, an orphan)
Namun dialah manusia agung (Though, He is the greatest human being)

Umar antara ahli pasukan dari Sekolah Integrasi KAFA Taufiq Hidayah menyertai perarakan Maulidur Rasul anjuran Masjid Bukit Sentosa, Rawang. Kumpulannya mendapat tempat ke-2. Tempat pertama dimenangi oleh Pertubuhan Silat Cekak Malaysia dan ke-3 dimenangi oleh Perodua.

(Gambar di atas) Umar dan kawannya mewakili sekolah menerima hadiah daripada YB. Hai..seronoknya Umar dan kawan-kawan. Dahlah dapat RM5 seorang .. minggu depan Cikgu belanja makan lagi!!
