Makkah after 2010

Peliknya sebelum pergi, perasaan tu biasa sahaja.. tentulah as a muslim .. teringin nak kesana tu memang ada, tapi tak expect perasaan tu jadi begitu terkesan.

Advice For Women

I just feel like writing on getting advice. Just bear with me. (Don’t guess what happened)

Where would you normally get the advice and guidance? You should know that there are many places to get advice for women. Some of these sources are better than others, but I think many women fail to tap into the best resource that they have. There are magazines and advice columns, and other things like that, but we fail to look without ourselves to find the answers to our biggest problems. You may not be able to see it when you are going through something, but somewhere deep inside you already know the answers to your most trying questions.

We should most definitely get our advice for women from our mother, sisters and our friends. I am fortunate that I am close to my sisters. We get along very well. It goes without saying, though there are many of us who refuse to think the advice might be valid. When you are looking for advice for women, you are going to get better advice from those who know you. It is easy for someone who is writing an advice column to dole out advice for women in a very basic way, but this type of advice is very simple and wide reaching. It will never touch upon the issue in the way that you need.

What about getting it from our husbands? I trust mine. He too gives good advice in some areas that men can answer.

Perhaps one of the best ways that I find advice for women is to sit on the problem. This isn’t always possible, but if you can do this, this is what you should do. You have to think it through before you make a decision, and sometimes all you need is the right amount of time to pass for you to come up with the proper answer. If it helps, take the time to write it out and see what you come up with. You may read back what you have written only to find that you have found your advice for women in your own words. It might be right there in front of you.

No matter how much advice for women we get, we always end up putting our own spin on it, and perhaps that is the best way to go. If you are asking for advice for women and you find that you are arguing with each and every answer or piece of advice that you are getting, you may have to realize that you are not truly ready for the answer. When we are going through something, the most painful answer is usually the right answer. Make sure you take the time to listen to yourself, and put off making a decision until you have run it over in your mind every single way that you can.

Pray hard and pray well. May Allah bless us all and guide in in everything that we do, especially during this holy month of Ramadhan. Hoping to see the lights of Al-Qadr.

Joke of the day

Ah Beng bought a new mobile.
He sent a message to everyone from his Phone Book & said,
‘My Mobile No. Has changed. Earlier it was Nokia 3310. Now it is 6610′

Ah Beng: I am a Proud, coz my son is in Medical College .
Friend: Really, what is he studying.
Ah Beng: No, he is not studying, they are studying him.

Ah Beng: Doctor, in my dreams, I play football every night..
DR: Take this tablet, you will be ok.
Ah Beng: Can I take tomorrow, tonight is final game.

Ah Beng: If I die, will u remarry?
Wife: No! I’ll stay with my sister. But if I die will u remarry?
Ah Beng: No, I’ll also stay with your sister.

Ah Beng comes back to his car & find a note saying ‘Parking Fine’
He Writes a note and sticks it to a pole ‘Thanks for compliment.’

How do you recognize Ah Beng in School?
He is the one who erases the notes from the book when the teacher erases
the board.

Once Ah Beng was walking he had a glove on one hand and not on other.
So the man asked him why he did so. He replied that the weather forecast
announced that on one hand it would be cold and on the other hand it would
be hot.

Ah Beng  in a bar and his cellular phone rings. He picks it up and
Says ‘Hello, how did you know I was here?’

Ah Beng: Why are all these people running?
Man - This is a race, the winner will get the cup
Ah Beng - If only the winner will get the cup, why others running?

Teacher: ‘I killed a person’ convert this sentence into future tense
Ah Beng: The future tense is ‘u will go to jail’

Ah Beng told his servant: ‘Go and water the plants!’
Servant: ‘It’s already raining.’
Ah Beng: ‘So what? Take an umbrella and go.’

TEKA-TEKI IMAM AL-GHAZALI

Dah lama tak kemas bilik stor. Bilik yg jadi tempat sumbat paling mudah, dah mula jadi syurga “che’ ti”. Yang perlu buang, dibuang. Yg masih dipakai, simpan aje dulu.

Macam org bukak treasure chest. Teka-teki imam Al-Ghazali ni dari makalah ‘Tatapan Rohani SRA Kg.Sg.Kayu Ara’. Tak tahu lak macamana sampai kat rumah ni?!!

Nearest to us is DEATH because Allah has promised that each living soul will die.

Furthest from us is OUR PAST because no matter how we are or in what we ride, we can never go back. Therefore we should lead our lives as Allah’s Will, today, tomorrow and the days to come.

Biggest in this world is our NAFSU (desire). We should be very careful with our nafs so as it will not take us to hell. Be thankful for what we have and not worry for what we don’t have.

The most heaviest in this world is TRUST that Allah has given us as a caliph in this world. We chose to take up this Trust which yet most of us betrayed and leads us to the hell.

The lighest thing to us is LEAVING SOLAT. We take it easy when it comes to solat when we’re sick or tired or doing anhything in this world.

The sharpest in this world is our TONGUE. With our words we easily hurt others and our loved ones.

Hilang 5 lbs Dalam Seminggu

Ni bukan diet bukan2. Dah hampir 2 bulan ikut regime ni. Tak makan diet pill or tepek apa2 krim. Just healthy diet and exercise. Alhamdulillah dah turun 5 kg. Mudah2an dapat maintain. Taklah hilang 5 lbs dlm 1 week tapi 1 month. Tapi kira ok and feel very happy. Nasihatnya jangan too obsessed or stressed yourself out. Just take things easy walaupun tak achieve full target of the day. Cuma peruut and peha ni yg liat sikit. Maklumlah anak dah 6. Tapi hubby dah puji sket. Kembang..he..he.. Cubalah routine ni. Haa.. ada tip2 lain kat ujung.

From LoveToKnow Diet
Many people find themselves trying to lose 5 pounds in a week in situations where they need to slim down to fit into an outfit for an important event.
Eat Yourself Slim
Successful and safe dieting is not about starving the body; the key is to eating the right foods and combinations of food. With crazes such as the Atkins diet, the South Beach diet and the ‘cabbage soup’ diet, weight loss may have been achieved but in a potentially unhealthy way. These types of dietary habits can be difficult to sustain, therefore weight loss may only be a temporary achievement.
The secret is in fact the reverse, eating yourself slim may sound nonsense but it is a myth that eating less guarantees weight loss, especially if you intend to keep it off.
How to Lose 5 Pounds in a Week: Its Easy
When aiming to lose a sum of weight in a short space of time it is difficult not to look upon it as a possible sacrificial act, and if that’s the case take steps to ensure the hard work is worth it and that the weight stays off. The key to guaranteed weight loss is shifting the build up of calories in the body; this can only be achieved by a careful dietary intake and a regular regime of exercise.
Exercise
The exercise does not require overexertion or need to be vigorous. It is recommended that 30 minutes of exercise between three and five times per week is a reasonable exercise goal to target. If trying to lose weight in a short time span, the more exercise you do the better. Exercise does not need to be a grueling workout in the gym, and the more fun you make it the more likely you are to do it. Swimming, walking the dog or even roller skating are just a few ideas that constitute the kind of exercise which if sustained for 30 minutes will help you drop that unwanted weight.
Meal Planning
If you have to lose 5 pounds in a week, with such a limited time, the key to success is in the planning. Systematically document your plans for the 7 days. In doing so you are more likely to stick to it. Write down specifically what you intend to eat for each of the days, including drinks and any in-between meal snacks you allow yourself. When you shop for the food ensure you only buy what you intend to eat.
The secret to losing weight is to eat up to four meals in a day, with attention focused on varying the calorific intake of each meal. It is also advisable to include a good mix of proteins, complex carbohydrates and fruit and vegetables in the meal, the body will work the scientific bit out by itself. Mixing up the order in which calorific values are eaten increases your metabolic rate and more fat is burned. When trying to lose weight in such a short space of time it is not unreasonable to cut out all the ‘naughty’ foods which may normally hinder attempts to lose weight. Snacks, candy, soda’s and alcohol are all detrimental to the waistline and when possible should be avoided during the sacrificial 7 days.
Resist the Temptation
Even 7 days can be a difficult challenge when trying to lose weight, and many will long to see their hard earned results, but not without suffering along the way. Resist the temptation to give in to food cravings by drinking a glass of water or brushing your teeth as both actions will take the focus off of food long enough for the craving to pass.
Put your outfit out on show to remind you that you intend to look amazing in at the end of the 7 days. Don’t be tempted to try it on and steer clear of the weighing scales. On day 7 you will be rewarded with a visual loss of weight both numerically and in how you look and feel about yourself.
Keep Up the Good Work
If you’ve achieved your 5 pound weight loss in the nominated week, you may want to consider sustaining certain newly adopted habits indefinitely. Don’t make life miserable depriving yourself of your culinary treats and vices. If you eat sensibly and exercise regularly the majority of the time, the treats will feel far more worth it.
It’s all about self control and personal willpower. If you want to lose weight for yourself then nobody should get in your way. Success is as possible as you make it.

Durians

Local Malaysian fruits season is back. Around this time (May to Aug every year), that’s Summer for most people above the Equator, Malaysia bears its best. And below I have included some photos of the famous DURIAN, only found in Malaysia and Thailand, I am made to understand. Many tourists from especially the Western countries cannot bear its strong smell but to us locals, nothing beats the durian hands down, the taste and smell….. oooooo, so marvelous. If any of you are comng to Malaysia, make a point to look (and eat) for durians, that’s pronounced DOO-REE-YARN.

Musim buah datang lagi. Three weeks hubby keje kat Perak, dah 3 times bawak balik durian. Gi kebun atok Salim pun bawak balik durian . Gi rumah maktok, pakuda belanja lagi durian kat pasar malam. Tak jemu2 makan durian. Nasib baik buah durian, bukan steak! Kalau tak .. kantoi dietku.

Ingat masa kecik dulu, kalau abah beli durian, semua adik beradik berkeliling depan durian. Masing2 nak cuba skil robek durian. Seronok!! Sekarang ni, anak2 sendiri pulak berebut nak kopek durian. Paling suka durian kalau rasanya pahit2 sket. Durian kampung. Tapi anak2 tak gemar kalau pahit tu. Di pasnye kat kite suruh peghabis.

Cantiknya!! Buah ni hasil usaha atok Salim (my pak mertua) utk anak cucu.

Sedapnye!! Jemput makan…..

Haa.. Dah banyak sangat?!!

Buat pulak kuah durian..

Nama pun musim buah.. Manggis dan rambutan pun tak kalah.

Durian kalau dah over, buat tempoyak. (Sorry takde gambar)

Sampai Menyampai

Dah lebih sebulan balik dari umrah. Masa baru balik, rasa iman tu.. okeeyy je. Tapi laa ni.. rasa iman macam down aje. Gitulah rasa diri ni.

Kelas feqah 2 minggu sekali, dah kena tangguh pulak last week. Ustazah bersalin.. Haa tunggu lepas rayalah sambungnye. Kelas ngaji pun 2 kali seminggu tapi on Sunday. Masa tu pulak, anak2 ada yg tiusyen, ada yg kelas prep, ada pulak kelas taekwando. Sibuk betul manusia di zaman ini kan. Kekadang antara 2 kepentingan,… nak cari ilmu ke?!! Atau jenguk orangtua?!! Bila dah lama tak jenguk mak, kelas ngaji dikorbankan.

Inilah yg sempatku jenguk selalu.

Terimakasih bebanyak pada org yg rajin2 sebar tazkirah. Mudah2an Allah catatkan sebagai amalan. Ni dari mamafami fotopages.

Bila Allah cepat makbulkan doamu

Maka DIA Menyayangimu,

Bila DIA lambat makbulkan doamu

Maka DIA ingin Mengujimu,

Bila DIA tidak makbulkan doamu

Maka DIA Merancang Sesuatu Yang Lebih Baik Untukmu

Oleh itu, Sentiasalah Bersangka Baik Pada ALLAH

Dalam Apa Jua Keadaan Pun

…… Kerana Kasih Sayang ALLAH Itu Mendahului KemurkaanNya.

Renungkanlah …..

Kongsikanlah……

Hari2 Terakhir & Tawaf Wida

Malam Isnin tu lepas dinner, Ustaz Ridhwan bagi ceramah on tawaf wida. By this time I was really very2 sad. Sedih sangat. Sedih tapi mesti redha. Mesti bersangka-baik dengan Allah.

Namun aku masih menaruh harapan.

Tuesday, second last day, masih belum boleh lagi. Tati nak buat last umrah.. her fourth. Dia pun dah banyak missed sebab period. Mak nak buat last minute shopping. So mak tak nak ikut. Makchu masih tak berapa sihat. So it’s just me and Tati. Teman kan dia ke Tanaim. Sendiri tak dapat buat umrah. But at least merasa jugak naik coaster. Dia lawe naik bas Andalusia, bawak group baru. So balik naik bas Ustadz Idris.

Rabu, hari terakhir. Alhamdulillah .. Allah mengkabulkan doa ku. By this time, all the bags are lined out in front of our room. Breakfast, then kami berempat menuju ke Masjidilharam.

(First row dari kanan - mak, Sarah, mak Sarah, mama comel {perasan}, makChu, Ina, mak sedara Ina.. Selepas umrah ke-2 - picture kamera Sarah)

Ya Allah… terimakasih Ya Allah kerana Engkau izinkan aku menjejakkan kakiku sekali lagi disini, Ya Allah. Betapa berharganya peluang yang diberi Allah ini.. Sesungguhnya, Engkau Maha Pengasih Lagi Maha Menyayangi.

Selamat tinggal Makkah. Selamat tinggal Madinah. Dengan izin Tuhan, ku pasti kembali…

Makkah III

Sepanjang berada di Makkah, seleraku dgn makanan yg disediakan caterer kat hotel agak tumpul. Masaknya kurang kreatif compared to food served masa kat Al-Fayroz. Repetitious…aaaa.. tak yah complain lagi. Alhamdulillah sahaja. Saja dibuat gaya gitu, so kita ada chan nak cuba makanan kat luar tu (ahaks.. ni berbaik-sangka ke?!!). Roti arab, ayam panggang, macaroni bakar, cucurnya rasa macam wade (dhal), roti pita filled with veges, cucuq & fries (macam vegetarian, takde meat) .. these are some of foods yg dah lalu kat tekakku.

Actually, this is the first time traveling without hubby and kids. For a housewife, who has never left the family for 14 years..apa rasa?!! First time berjalan tak yah tengok belakang. Rasa macam burung. Lagi plak berjalan dgn all-ladies, rasa macam zaman2 bujang dulu. Seronoknya.. at least for the first week. Masuk 3rd day kat Makkah, boleh tadah airmata ngan mangkuk…

Aku tak kucup hajar aswad. Kenapa ye? Mula2 tu takde niat nak kucup and … tak terdorong pun iya. Mungkin ada pernah dengar dari ustad, tak memberati kita orang perempuan gi meredah arus manusia tu. Tapi bila dah few days kat Makkah tu, terasa rugi pulak. Kalau org dulu2 berusaha nak mencium hajar aswad, tapi aku yg muda2 ni tak bersemangat pulak. Mak, makchu.. masa gi haji ke umrah dulu dah pernah kucup. Rugikan.. bila dah teringin, red light pulak.

Lepas dari gua Hira.. Sabtu & Ahadnya memang free. But petang Ahad tu ada ceramah lagi. Also masa tu diselesaikan siapa2 yang nak bayar fidyah or denda.

On Monday, there’s another ziarah to ladang unta, Hudaibiyah, and muzium. Ladang unta ni betul2 kat padang pasir. Susu diperah kat situ jugak. Aku sapu buih susu unta kat pipi (untuk licin muka..he..he). Surprisingly sejuk and tak melekit pun bila kering.

Lepas tu gi Hudaibiyah.

Then we headed to the museum. Muzium dua tanah suci. Ustad Ridhwan lead us on a one round tour sekali dgn penerangan tentang bahan2 yang dipamerkan. We were back at Abeer before zohor.

Gua Hira

Budak arab tu bawak van macam nak terbang kepala rasanya. Kiri kanannya rumah2. I was expecting kami akan sampai satu kawasan padang pasir atau bukit2 batu. Rupanya tak gitu. Jalan nak naik tu sempit and sooo… curam. Stop aje van, lampu rumah sebelah tu menyala. Bukan rumah.. kedai rupanya. Kat sini beli air and tongkat. Mak beli tongkat.

Gelap malam tak lah pekat sangat. Taklah teraba-raba waktu memanjat. Mungkin jauh dari bandar & cahaya lampu. Mmg mula2 tengok bukit tu, rasa mcm 50-50 aje. Boleh ke nak bawak mak ni????…. Tapi tak cakap kat mak, takut kecik hati plak nanti. Bila semua tiga2 van dah sampai, ustaz bagi briefing - Jalan curam. Naik pelan2. Jgn terlalu semangat. Jgn berdiri tegak tiba2, takut pening & mungkin jatuh. Jaga adab & jangan berkata yg tak elok. Kalau tak larat patah balik. Ada ustaz lain tunggu kat bawah - Ustaz kata paling cepat naik 1/2 jam. Kalau nak turun cepat, 5 minit blh sampai.. terjun saje, esok dihantar ke Maala (perkuburan). Lawaklah ni. Kami berempat took 45 minit before we reached to the top. Eh! Bukan kami saje.. plus a few more

Hai, kat Malaysia tak pernah buat kerja macam ni. Mountain climbing tak pernah. Rock climbing pun tak pernah. Aku watch-over makchu, Tati jaga mak. Laju jugak mak memanjat. Risau sangat tengoknya. Tapi Tati memang berjaga kat belakang mak. Makchu agak takut2 mula2.. gayat. After a while, she seems more confident. I was at her tail kekadang. Ada masa tu lead dia.

Alhamdulillah. Sampai jugak akhirnya kat atas. Sampai kat atas, kami kena lalui celahan gua yang begitu sempit and gelap. Tawakal aje masuk melalui celahan tu. Tak nak fikir atau bayangkan apa2. Guna lights dari hand-phone untuk suluh. Digua nabi beruzlah boleh solat sunat. Kami sekadar meng’amin’kan doa sahaja. Sampai pun dah lewat. Kamera hand-phone Tati takde flash, so takdelah gambar.

TABIK! Buat mak and makchu.

Balik dari gua hira.. red light yg petang tu sikit2 je, dah mengesahkan dia bukan main2. Terpaksalah terima hakikat. Redha dan sabar menunggu green light. Yang lain, subuh kat bilik. Nasib baik tak kesiangan!
